Happy National Dog Day
August 26, 2021
In honor of National Dog Day, I thought it was only fair to create a sweet little scene celebrating my growing collection of miniature dogs. While it may not be quite as extensive as my cat collection just yet, it’s definitely a work in progress and one I’m having a lot of fun building.
This project gave me the perfect excuse to dive into making some classic dog toys in miniature. I loved recreating a mix of familiar favorites and handmade pieces to bring the scene to life. My personal favorite is the needle-felted Loofa-style dog toy, inspired by one my dog Logan adored as a puppy. I also needle felted a tiny tennis ball, which felt like a must for any dog-themed setup.
Altogether, the little details came together into a playful, nostalgic vignette that feels full of personality and charm. Scenes like this are such a fun way to celebrate the animals we love and the memories they leave us with.
Give your dogs a big, sloppy kiss for me today, and keep an eye out for a few new miniature signs I’ll be listing soon, made especially for fellow mini dog lovers.
