Welcome to the Carnevil
For this year's Miniatures.com Halloween Challenge, we had to pick one of three laser-cut kits and transform it into a spooky scene.
I conjured a sinister transformation of the Coffee Spot Kit into a macabre concession stand at a long-forgotten carnival, where years of neglect have invited evil to take hold. Inspired by the chilling aesthetics of '80s horror movies, my Carnevil Concessions Stand is a haunting tableau of decay and darkness.
A skeleton crew, cobwebs, and blood spatter set the stage for a truly terrifying carnival experience. A grinning jack-o-lantern, rats, and spiders lurk in the shadows, while spoiled snacks hint at the sinister forces at work.
I meticulously crafted every detail, from the signage and posters to the custom-built popcorn and soda machines. The back wall, counter, and illuminated marquee sign were all added to the original kit, elevating the scene to a truly haunting spectacle.
Many thanks to my husband, Tom, for helping me with the creepy, cool mood lighting for these photos!
